Lesson Overview

8.23 – Practicing “Needs vs. Wants” at the Store: Every shopping trip tests your ability to separate needs from wants. Needs are items required for nutrition and hygiene; wants add comfort or pleasure. Writing both categories before shopping clarifies priorities. Choosing consciously strengthens self-control and decision-making. It also builds gratitude because awareness transforms frustration into empowerment. Seeing wants as optional, not forbidden, removes guilt and invites balance. The more mindful you become, the more your spending aligns with your values. Over time, mastering needs versus wants becomes an emotional skill as much as a financial one.
