14.12 – Setting Phone or Alarm Reminders for Events: Technology can become your best ally when managing appointments and daily commitments. Setting reminders on your phone, tablet, or smart device helps bridge the gap between intention and action. Choose alert times that give you space to prepare—fifteen or thirty minutes before is often ideal. For major events like interviews or medical visits, set two reminders, one the night before and another on the day itself. Label alarms clearly so you instantly recognize what they mean without overthinking. Avoid cluttering your device with excessive alerts that lose meaning. Consistent use of reminders trains your brain to anticipate instead of react. The goal is not dependence on technology but partnership with it. Digital cues reinforce structure, reduce lateness, and strengthen independence by transforming time awareness into a daily rhythm that supports your personal growth and reliability.
