Lesson Overview

15.36 – Avoiding All-or-Nothing Thinking (“It’s Ruined, So I Quit”): Perfectionism disguises itself as defeat. When something goes wrong, your mind might shout, “It’s ruined!” but that thought freezes growth. Pause and reframe—what part still works? What can be saved? Most situations have recoverable pieces if you breathe before reacting. Progress often looks messy, not flawless. Practice saying “good enough for now” to reduce pressure. This mindset encourages flexibility and creativity. When you stop expecting perfect outcomes, you unlock consistent improvement. Over time, rejecting all-or-nothing thinking changes how you see every setback. Each imperfect repair or halfway success proves that resilience outperforms rigidity. Letting go of total control teaches the most vital lesson—something valuable can always be rebuilt when patience replaces panic.
