14.27 – Managing Time When You’re Feeling Anxious or Scattered: Anxiety can distort how time feels—making minutes seem shorter and tasks heavier. When your mind races, structure is your anchor. Begin by slowing your breathing and writing down what must be done today, not everything in the world. Divide the day into simple segments: morning, afternoon, evening. Focus on one step per segment rather than a full mountain of expectations. Use timers for focus bursts, then pause to stretch or hydrate. Reduce distractions like phone notifications or background noise. Each small completion signals safety to your brain. The goal isn’t perfection; it’s forward motion with compassion. Managing time while anxious builds trust in your own stability. You learn that planning can soothe, not suffocate. Calm structure becomes a steady hand guiding you from tension toward clarity, turning scattered moments into smooth progress and restoring balance to your energy.
