Lesson Overview

23.3 – Writing SMART Goals for Daily Living: Writing SMART goals means turning general ideas into specific, trackable outcomes. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. For example, instead of saying “I’ll clean more,” say “I’ll clean the kitchen for 15 minutes every evening this week.” This structure gives you a clear target and an endpoint. SMART goals make accountability easier because you can measure success precisely. They also reveal whether your expectations are realistic or need adjusting. The clarity they bring replaces vague hopes with solid direction. Using this method consistently helps you make daily improvements that support long-term change. When your goals are SMART, motivation feels natural because progress is visible, not imagined. Each small win builds confidence, reinforcing the belief that disciplined steps create real, lasting results.
