Lesson Overview

15.77 – What to Do If You Get Scared or Triggered by a Minor Problem: Fear responses from past experiences can overtake logic quickly. When panic rises, pause and remind yourself that the present moment is safe. Ground using five senses—notice sights, sounds, textures. Take slow breaths until your body settles. Then assess the situation with calm curiosity: what actually happened, and what’s under your control? Write thoughts if needed to separate feelings from facts. Reassure yourself that fear doesn’t equal danger. Sharing the moment with a trusted person helps restore perspective. Over time, this practice retrains your nervous system to stay anchored during stress. Strength isn’t the absence of fear—it’s the decision to respond gently until peace replaces the automatic alarm inside your mind.
