10.9 – Identifying Unsafe People and Situations: Personal safety isn’t only about environments—it’s about recognizing behaviors that put you at risk. Unsafe people often ignore boundaries, pressure you into decisions, or make you feel uneasy without clear reason. Trusting your instincts is not paranoia; it’s protection shaped by experience. Notice when someone dismisses your comfort, manipulates emotions, or isolates you from support. Unsafe situations often build slowly through disrespect or control rather than sudden violence. Learning to say no, walk away, or call for help keeps power balanced where it belongs—with you. Writing down red-flag experiences helps you see patterns that emotion can hide. Building a circle of trusted contacts ensures you’re never alone in judgment calls. Awareness becomes strength when paired with action. Recognizing danger early allows you to protect your peace, maintain independence, and continue growing in environments that honor your safety and worth.
