6.25 – Reviewing Your Medications During Doctor Visits: Regular medication reviews ensure your treatment stays safe, effective, and up-to-date. Bring all prescription bottles or a detailed list to every appointment. Doctors need to see exact dosages, dates, and any over-the-counter drugs or supplements you take. Discuss side effects, energy changes, or new health goals since your last visit. Clear communication prevents duplicate prescriptions or unnecessary medications. If something no longer helps, ask whether it’s time to adjust or stop. Reviewing together turns appointments into active collaborations rather than quick check-ins. It also builds trust when providers see your organized preparation. Accurate reviews prevent long-term complications and unnecessary costs. Staying engaged shows that you view health as teamwork, not obligation. A five-minute review can protect years of progress and peace of mind.
