10.58 – Creating a “Safe Person” List for Panic Moments: Panic clouds judgment, but trusted people bring clarity. Write a list of three to five “safe persons” who understand your triggers, conditions, or crises. Include their names, phone numbers, and backup contacts. Keep the list in your phone, wallet, and visible home area. Share it only with those genuinely supportive. Knowing who to call removes decision paralysis when fear strikes. Discuss preferred ways they can help—listening, distraction, or emergency response—so expectations stay clear. Updating this list regularly strengthens accountability. Feeling supported reduces isolation and prevents escalation. Safe people don’t fix everything—they anchor you until calm returns. This network transforms vulnerability into shared strength. Every call made from trust rebuilds emotional safety faster. Having reliable connections ready makes independence truly sustainable through crisis, proving safety is both personal and collective responsibility intertwined.
