Lesson Overview

2.11 – Building a 3-Day Emergency Food Plan: An emergency plan ensures you stay nourished during power outages or unexpected situations. Choose shelf-stable items such as canned proteins, dried fruits, nuts, and instant grains. Include a manual can opener, water supply, and portable utensils. Rotate supplies every few months to maintain freshness. Plan meals that don’t require cooking or refrigeration. Balance comfort foods with nutrition to sustain energy and mood. Store food in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Keep notes of expiration dates and replacement reminders. A well-prepared kit provides security and independence during crises. When you plan ahead, you protect your physical needs and your sense of calm at the same time.
