2.31 – How to Meal Prep Without a Fridge or Freezer: Lack of cold storage challenges convenience but not creativity. Choose shelf-stable proteins like canned tuna, beans, or nut butter paired with grains and produce that keep at room temperature. Root vegetables, apples, and citrus last longer without refrigeration. Use small coolers with ice packs if available to extend freshness for a day or two. Plan smaller shopping trips to prevent spoilage and rotate food regularly. Opt for no-cook meals like wraps, oats, or canned soups that only need heating water. Keeping food dry, sealed, and shaded helps it last longer. Staying organized in limited conditions teaches resourcefulness and independence. You discover that true preparedness is less about equipment and more about thoughtful strategy.
