Lesson Overview

9.9 – Asking for Help When You’re Lost or Confused: Knowing how to ask for help when you’re lost or unsure is a strength, not a weakness. It shows awareness and responsibility for your safety. Choose someone who looks approachable—like a store employee, bus driver, or police officer—and clearly explain what you need. It helps to carry identification or write down key addresses in case your phone dies. Using calm communication and good manners builds trust and makes people more willing to assist you. It’s important to stay in public, visible areas while asking for help. Confidence grows each time you navigate uncertainty with patience and clear thinking. Preparing ahead by learning common phrases or landmarks reduces panic. Remember, even adults get lost sometimes—it’s how you respond that matters. Asking for help wisely teaches independence through collaboration, reminding you that resourcefulness is part of being strong and capable.
