Lesson Overview

20.1 – Recognizing Tasks That Feel Overwhelming: Recognizing tasks that feel overwhelming starts with paying attention to how your body and mind react when responsibilities pile up. Overwhelm often shows up as frustration, forgetfulness, or physical tension when you can’t keep up. Instead of pushing harder, pause to notice which tasks drain you most—those are signals, not failures. It’s normal to struggle with complex chores or unfamiliar challenges that stretch your limits. Listing priorities on paper helps break big problems into smaller, manageable steps. When something feels too heavy to handle alone, that’s your cue to slow down and consider asking for help. Overwhelm is not weakness; it’s information telling you that rest, support, or new strategies are needed. By identifying these moments early, you protect your energy, preserve your focus, and prevent burnout before it takes control.
