Lesson Overview

9.14 – Planning for Transportation in Emergencies: Planning for transportation emergencies means thinking ahead so you can respond calmly instead of panicking. Keep a list of emergency contacts, ride services, or nearby safe places where you can wait if stranded. Having backup bus routes or knowing the nearest train station gives you flexibility. Always carry a charged phone and small cash in case digital payments fail. If a vehicle breaks down, move to a safe location and call for help before trying to fix anything. Communicating clearly with trusted people lets them know where you are and if you need assistance. Practicing what to do in different scenarios—like missed rides or severe weather—prepares you for real situations. Being ready doesn’t mean expecting problems; it means being wise about the unpredictable. Strong preparation keeps you safe, confident, and capable even when plans fall apart unexpectedly.
