Lesson Overview

18.1 – Understanding Personal Boundaries: Understanding personal boundaries means learning where your comfort zone begins and ends, and how to protect it with self-respect and awareness. Boundaries are the invisible lines that define what behavior feels acceptable, both from yourself and others. They help you know when to say yes with confidence and when to say no without guilt. Strong boundaries keep your emotions balanced because you are not constantly stretched or drained by people who take too much of your energy. Setting them clearly teaches others how to treat you and gives you permission to care for your mental health first. Boundaries are not walls—they are filters that allow healthy connections while blocking harm. When you honor your limits, you model emotional maturity and inspire others to do the same. Knowing your boundaries brings peace, clarity, and steady self-control in everyday relationships.
