Lesson Overview

41.6 – Recognizing and Preventing Bullying or Harassment: Recognizing bullying or harassment early is essential to maintaining a safe home environment. These behaviors often start subtly—with teasing, exclusion, or disrespect—and can escalate quickly if ignored. No one should feel unsafe or unwelcome where they live. Standing up against harmful actions shows courage and compassion. It’s important to communicate concerns clearly and document repeated issues if necessary. Everyone deserves to feel secure and valued regardless of background, gender, or identity. Preventing bullying means promoting empathy and zero tolerance for cruelty or control. Roommates should look out for one another and speak up when boundaries are crossed. Respect thrives where kindness is practiced daily, not just spoken about. A shared home should be a refuge of safety, not a source of fear or anxiety.
