35.10 – Safely Disposing of Empty or Expired Products: Safely disposing of empty or expired products protects both your health and the environment. Check packaging for recycling symbols or disposal instructions before throwing items away. Never pour old lotions, soaps, or chemicals down the drain, as they can harm water systems. Rinse empty containers before recycling. For expired products—especially medication, nail polish, or aerosol cans—follow community disposal guidelines or take them to designated drop-off points. Handling waste properly prevents contamination and clutter while modeling environmental responsibility. Keeping your hygiene area free of outdated items also ensures safety and freshness. Proper disposal reflects awareness, respect, and care for yourself, your home, and your community.
