Lesson Overview

1.10 – What to Do When You Feel Out of Control: Feeling out of control can be terrifying, but it’s often a signal that your system is overloaded, not broken. The first step is to slow everything down—your breathing, movement, and words—to prevent panic from taking over. Recognize that loss of control is temporary, not a permanent state. Ground yourself by naming what’s real and stable in your environment. This reminder pulls you back from the mental storm and reconnects you to the present. Avoid self-criticism; judgment only deepens chaos. Instead, give your body a chance to reset through cold water, stretching, or firm pressure on your hands. Each small act restores fragments of stability until calm returns. Over time, learning how to navigate these moments proves your emotional strength. Control is not about force—it’s about trust that balance can always be rebuilt with patience and care.
