Lesson Overview

1.15 – Pre-Crisis Reflection: Noticing Your Patterns: Every crisis follows footprints—habits of reaction that repeat until acknowledged. Pre-crisis reflection means studying your emotional weather reports before storms form. Ask yourself what sensations, words, or events usually trigger intensity. Track them like data, not blame. When you spot early trends—sleep loss, skipped meals, constant comparison—you’ve identified leverage points. Replace judgment with curiosity; patterns are information, not identity. Writing or voice-recording observations helps connect moods to behaviors. Over weeks, you’ll see that escalation rarely appears from nowhere; it grows from unaddressed tension. Reflection trains your awareness to intercept those loops before they ignite. The reward is freedom: choice where compulsion once ruled. Knowing your patterns isn’t self-criticism—it’s emotional strategy that converts hindsight into prevention.
