Lesson Overview

1.19 – When You Can’t Sleep Because You’re Scared: Fear at night can make rest feel impossible, but your body needs sleep to heal from stress. Start by creating a simple nighttime ritual that tells your brain it’s time to relax: dim lights, stretch gently, and avoid screens. Keep a small light or comforting sound nearby to reduce the sense of danger. If thoughts keep racing, try breathing slowly while focusing on your feet or counting backward from 100. Writing down worries before lying down can trap them on paper instead of looping in your head. Remind yourself that night is just another form of time—it always leads back to morning. Keep your phone within reach only for safety, not scrolling. Each night you practice calm, your brain learns to associate darkness with peace instead of panic. Sleep becomes less of a battle and more of a quiet victory for your healing.
