Lesson Overview

1.03 – Setting Boundaries When You’re in Crisis: When you’re under pressure, it’s easy to let people cross your boundaries because you’re too tired to say no. But during a crisis, healthy boundaries become the structure that keeps you standing. Boundaries are not walls; they are guidelines that tell others what is and isn’t safe for you. They remind you that protecting your energy is part of healing. Saying “I need space right now” or “Please speak calmly to me” is not selfish—it’s responsible. People may not always like your limits, but the right ones will learn to respect them. Consistency is key; mixed messages confuse people and lead to tension. If someone keeps ignoring your limits, step away and prioritize your well-being first. Boundaries help you feel in control even when life feels unstable. Over time, enforcing them teaches others how to treat you respectfully. In every crisis, clear limits help rebuild trust, communication, and emotional safety faster than blame or withdrawal ever could.
