Lesson Overview

1.44 – Making a Plan for When You’re Really Close to Snapping: Feeling like you might snap means your body is sending an emergency signal that needs structure, not shame. Create a plan before the next surge hits. Write down three steps you can take instantly—leave the room, call a support contact, or hold something cold to slow adrenaline. Add grounding reminders like “I’ve survived worse,” or “I can pause.” Share your plan with someone trustworthy who won’t overreact. When emotions peak, reading your own calm words gives your brain something solid to follow. Snapping doesn’t make you dangerous; it means you’re overwhelmed. Having a personal blueprint turns panic into purpose. Over time, your ability to act from preparation instead of impulse becomes proof that you’re mastering emotional control instead of being controlled by it.
