Start by grounding your senses—touch something solid, name five objects around you, and take deep breaths. Control what’s within reach: your posture, your breathing, your thoughts. Visualize your favorite peaceful place until the tension softens. Use silent movements like stretching fingers or rolling shoulders to release built-up energy. If words are flying, focus on not adding fuel; silence can be power. Whisper to yourself phrases like “I’m steady,” or “I can wait this out.” When you ride out chaos without reacting, you protect your peace. The room doesn’t have to change for your calm to grow stronger. Each time you practice this, you build inner space that no external storm can fully invade.
