Lesson Overview

1.122 – When Anxiety Leads to a Crisis Spiral: Anxiety can snowball quickly when fear fuels more fear, trapping you in a loop of overthinking and physical tension. Recognizing this spiral early stops escalation before panic takes hold. Use grounding breath patterns and name specific worries aloud to shrink their power. Write them down so the mind stops recycling unspoken dread. Replace catastrophic “what ifs” with concrete actions within your control. Movement helps too—walking or stretching releases trapped adrenaline. Create a short mantra that reminds you, “This feeling will pass.” Share anxiety cues with trusted allies so they can assist calmly when needed. The spiral weakens when awareness interrupts automatic reaction. Over time, every recovery shortens the cycle, proving your ability to reset rather than drown.
