Lesson Overview

1.1 – What to Do When You Feel Like Breaking Everything: Feeling like breaking everything often comes from a storm of anger, fear, or frustration that feels too big to handle. When your mind is racing and your body wants to explode, the first step is to pause and make your body safe—sit down, unclench your fists, and breathe until the tightness eases. Imagine your emotions like waves hitting a wall; if you hold still long enough, the water calms on its own. Grab something soft to squeeze, or count slowly backward from thirty while focusing on each breath. The goal isn’t to erase your anger—it’s to keep it from taking charge of your choices. Notice where the tension sits in your body and picture releasing it piece by piece. You can also move your energy safely by walking, stretching, or writing everything you wish you could shout. When the pressure passes, think about what triggered it and what boundaries might prevent it next time. Self-control starts with understanding what your anger is trying to say before it turns into something you regret.
