1.5 – Who You Can Call When You’re Not Okay: Everyone needs a safety circle — people you can contact when things feel too hard to handle alone. Make a list that includes family, close friends, a teacher, counselor, or hotline number, and keep it somewhere easy to reach, like your phone or notebook. Each person on your list plays a different role — some listen, some help you plan, and some act fast in emergencies. Practice calling or texting them before you need them so asking for help feels natural, not awkward. It’s okay if you can’t explain everything right away; sometimes just saying “I’m not okay” is enough to start support. If one person doesn’t answer, move to the next without giving up. The key is connection, not perfection. You never have to face pain or panic in silence — there is always someone awake, trained, or caring enough to listen. You’re never truly alone when you know who to call.
