Lesson Overview

1.75 – Rapid-Cycle Thinking and How to Stop It: Rapid thoughts feel like mental traffic without signals. Interrupt the rush by labeling speed: “I’m thinking fast.” Say it aloud to externalize pace. Breathe with long exhales to lower oxygen demand. Write brief bullet notes instead of analyzing; pen slows processing. Use grounding—touch texture, count backward—to reclaim rhythm. Avoid caffeine or screens that accelerate cognition. Redirect focus to slow, tactile tasks: folding laundry, stretching, gentle cleaning. When thoughts loop, repeat “Pause now” to break momentum. Gradual deceleration trains brain circuitry toward balance. Thought speed isn’t intelligence measure; it’s stress symptom. Restored rhythm turns chaos into flow—mind finally moving at the speed of peace.
