Lesson Overview

1.2 – When You Feel Like Breaking Something: Anger can feel like fire trapped inside your chest, but breaking things doesn’t cool it — it fuels it. Energy built from frustration needs direction, not destruction. When your hands want to throw or hit, grab something soft instead — a pillow, a stress ball, a blanket — and squeeze until your muscles loosen. It’s okay to move, shout, or stomp in safe ways that release pressure without harm. Try splashing cold water on your face, writing fast without thinking, or counting backward until you feel your heartbeat slow. The goal isn’t to ignore the anger but to guide it through actions that don’t cause regret later. Every time you choose calm over chaos, your mind learns self-control that makes you stronger. Anger is powerful, but so are you when you use it wisely. You can always rebuild a calm moment faster than you can fix broken things.
