Lesson Overview

1.11 – Managing Rage That Comes From Feeling Abandoned: Abandonment rage often hides deep sadness and fear of being forgotten. When people leave without explanation, your emotions can explode because pain has nowhere to go. Understanding this pattern helps you control it before it controls you. Pause when anger spikes—take ten slow breaths or walk away before speaking. Express rage safely through writing, exercise, or punching a pillow instead of people. Remember that their leaving says more about them than your worth. Replace self-blame with compassion for the hurt child inside you craving stability. Talking to a counselor or mentor helps untangle grief from fury. Over time, you’ll learn that letting go of those who walked away gives space for new loyalty to enter. Rage softens when you stop needing absent people to validate your value.
