Lesson Overview

1.6 – How to Calm Down When Your Hands Are Shaking: Shaking hands are a signal your body is flooded with adrenaline. Instead of hiding it, work with it. Press your palms together hard, hold for five seconds, then release—it gives your muscles something to do. Try tracing shapes in the air, naming them out loud to reconnect your mind and body. Slow your breath until it matches the rhythm of your counting heartbeats. Adrenaline wants action, so channel it by pacing, squeezing a stress ball, or wrapping yourself in a blanket for grounding pressure. Remind yourself that shaking doesn’t mean weakness—it means your body is trying to protect you. Whisper reassuring words like “I’m safe right now” to retrain your nervous system. Once the tremors fade, drink water and stretch gently. Over time, your body learns that fear and safety can exist in the same moment without losing control.
