Lesson Overview

1.16 – Practicing Silence When Hiding Is Necessary: Sometimes the safest response is silence, and learning it can save lives. Teach children that being quiet doesn’t mean being powerless—it means being wise. Practice whisper games or holding still while counting to make it less frightening. Use calm tones and reassure them that silence keeps them invisible until help arrives. Pair every drill with a comforting discussion afterward to release tension. Children must know the difference between play silence and safety silence. Over time, these rehearsals strengthen self-control and confidence under pressure. When quiet becomes strategy instead of fear, it becomes a superpower of survival and self-discipline.
