Lesson Overview

1.15 – What to Pack in a Personal Safety Bag: A personal safety bag is more than objects—it’s a statement that your life matters and you plan to protect it. Start with essentials: identification, a small amount of cash, medication, a charger, and a change of clothes. Add comfort items like a photo, a journal, or something that reminds you of peace. Keep it light enough to grab quickly but meaningful enough to feel like security in your hands. Store it somewhere easy to reach but private. Even if you never need it, the act of preparing helps calm anxiety because you’ve given yourself options. You’re saying to yourself, “I have a plan; I am not trapped.” Include a written list of trusted numbers and a few calming notes for when your thoughts spiral. Preparation doesn’t mean fear—it means faith in your ability to stay alive and make choices under pressure.
