Lesson Overview

1.34 – Planning a Way Out That Doesn’t Lead to Trouble: Wanting to escape chaos doesn’t mean giving up—it means craving relief. The key is finding exits that protect, not harm. Identify safe spaces: libraries, friend’s houses, or community centers where you can cool down. Let someone know where you’re going to prevent worry or danger. Create calm-down kits with snacks, notes, or music that comfort you. When anger says “run,” ask yourself what you need instead—space, silence, or support. Leaving safely is strength, not rebellion. Later, discuss triggers and better plans with trusted adults. With structure, you learn to leave situations, not relationships. Each smart exit builds confidence that you can choose safety without causing harm.
