Lesson Overview

1.19 – Writing Your Feelings in a Crisis Journal: A crisis journal is your private space to unload chaos safely. When emotions rush too fast to talk about, writing slows them down long enough to see clearly. Start with simple words — angry, sad, tired — and let sentences grow naturally. You don’t need perfect grammar; you need honesty. Write until the pressure inside starts to ease or your breathing steadies. Some people draw or doodle instead — creativity counts as release too. Reading back later can help you spot triggers or patterns so you can plan ahead next time. Keep the journal in a safe, private place or password-lock it if needed. Over time, those pages become proof of how you’ve survived before and can again. Words are therapy when no one else is there to listen.
