Lesson Overview

1.7 – When You’re Afraid of What You Might Do Next: Fear of yourself can be one of the hardest feelings to face. It means your inner alarms are working — you sense danger before acting. The key is to build safety distance between thought and action. Move your body away from triggers, call someone, or distract your hands with ice, clay, or writing. Let adrenaline burn safely. Then breathe until your racing thoughts slow into sentences instead of impulses. Remember: a thought is not a promise; it’s a warning light asking for care. When you choose a pause, you rewrite your outcome. Tell yourself, “I can survive this wave without obeying it.” Fear doesn’t define your identity — caution does. Each moment you choose to stay safe proves your control is stronger than your fear. Safety starts with seconds, and those seconds can save your future decisions from becoming permanent pain.
