🧘🏽 Emotional Regulation & Coping Skills *coming soon *coming soon
Course overview
Lesson Overview

1.210 – Managing personal anger with an adult child who refuses help: Watching an adult child struggle while rejecting your help can be frustrating and painful. Anger often hides fear or helplessness, so naming those emotions first brings perspective. Respecting their autonomy doesn’t mean giving up care—it means trusting their process. Offer support without forcing solutions, saying things like “I’m here when you’re ready.” Redirect anger into empathy by remembering your own need for independence at their age. Practice patience and step back when needed to protect your peace. Journaling or talking with a counselor can help release bottled frustration. Focus on maintaining a loving connection even when you disagree. Emotional restraint often does more to influence growth than pressure ever could.
