9.13 – How Guilt Fuels Overthinking: Guilt often feeds the endless replay of “what if” and “why didn’t I.” Overthinking makes you stuck in a loop that feels like control but only deepens worry. You try to fix the past in your mind even though it’s already gone. The more you think, the heavier guilt feels. Breaking that cycle starts with noticing when your thoughts repeat without new answers. Overthinking is your brain’s way of searching for safety in a moment that already passed. Releasing guilt means accepting that learning is enough—you don’t have to relive it. When you give yourself permission to move on, your mind can finally rest. Reflection helps growth, but rumination steals peace. With practice, you can replace overthinking with mindful action that builds calm.
