Lesson Overview

14.12 – How Stress Fuels Anxiety and Worry: Stress and anxiety are closely linked; one can easily feed the other. When your body feels constant tension, your brain starts searching for reasons to explain it. That’s when worry grows stronger, spinning through endless “what ifs.” Your mind stays stuck in prediction mode, trying to control things it can’t. This pattern keeps your body flooded with stress chemicals, creating a loop that’s hard to break. Recognizing this cycle helps you interrupt it. Grounding in the present moment brings your thoughts back from the future. When you teach your body to relax, your brain starts believing you’re safe. Over time, your worry loses power because it has nothing to feed on. Small daily calming habits can slowly rewire your response to pressure. Anxiety lessens when your body learns that not every alarm deserves panic. Stress may trigger fear, but calm rewires confidence.
