7.5 – Why Panic Feels Overwhelming but Isn’t Dangerous: Panic can feel like your world is collapsing, but it’s not harmful, even if it feels that way. Your brain floods your body with adrenaline to prepare for danger that doesn’t exist. The rush of energy feels terrifying, like something bad will happen, but it’s just your body doing its job too well. When you remind yourself that panic can’t hurt you, the fear starts to lose power. The sensations might feel unbearable, but they always fade. Each time panic ends, your body learns that you survived again. Over time, this helps rewire your brain’s fear response. Panic feels like danger, but it’s actually a false alarm that you can ride out safely. Understanding that difference can bring huge relief and confidence.
