Lesson Overview

6.22 – Identifying Safe Spaces When Feeling Overwhelmed: When anxiety rises, your environment can make a big difference. A safe space is any place or setting where you feel calm and secure. It might be your room, a quiet corner, or even being outside in nature. Having familiar objects, sounds, or scents nearby can ground you. Safe spaces give your brain a signal that it’s okay to relax. You can also create mental safe spaces through visualization or calming music. When you build them ahead of time, you have comfort ready when anxiety hits. Knowing where and how to find safety gives you confidence during stressful times. Feeling safe is the first step toward feeling strong again.
