Lesson Overview

1.27 – Understanding Survivor’s Guilt: Survivor’s guilt happens when you question why you lived while someone else didn’t. It can feel like carrying a burden you didn’t choose. These thoughts come from love and shock, not from truth. Reminding yourself that life continuing is not betrayal helps release shame. You honor those lost by living fully, not by suffering endlessly. Talking about guilt brings it out of the shadows where it grows. Acts of kindness or purpose can turn guilt into gratitude. Forgiving yourself is one of the most healing choices you can make. The person you miss would want you to find peace. Living well becomes a tribute, not a crime.
