6.8 – The Connection Between Anxiety and Perfectionism: Perfectionism and anxiety often walk hand in hand. When you feel pressure to do everything perfectly, you create constant tension inside. You might fear making mistakes or worry about how others see you. This stress builds up until your body and mind feel overwhelmed. Perfectionism makes your brain believe you are never good enough, feeding anxiety even more. Learning to accept “good enough” instead of “perfect” helps ease that pressure. Small mistakes become chances to grow, not failures to fear. When you show yourself grace, your confidence begins to rise. Progress, not perfection, leads to peace. Letting go of unrealistic expectations is one of the kindest things you can do for your mental health.
