Lesson Overview

29.38 – Using Gratitude to Diminish Fear: Gratitude and fear can’t exist in the same moment—they pull the mind in opposite directions. When we focus on what we appreciate, fear naturally loses some of its power. Gratitude shifts attention from what’s missing to what’s working. It reminds us that even in hard times, good things still surround us. Keeping a gratitude list or saying thank-you out loud can calm the nervous system and lift the spirit. The brain begins to see safety where it once saw threat. Practicing gratitude regularly builds emotional strength and perspective. Over time, fear shrinks as appreciation grows. Gratitude becomes a quiet but powerful antidote to fear’s loud voice.
