Lesson Overview

5.3 – Identifying Negative Thought Patterns: Everyone has repeating thoughts that shape how they respond to life. Some patterns—like self-criticism or constant doubt—can increase stress and lower motivation. Identifying these patterns means paying attention to what your inner voice says most often. Write down frequent phrases or themes, especially during emotional moments. Once they’re visible, you can question their accuracy and replace them with balanced versions. For example, turn “I can’t handle this” into “This is hard, but I can take one step at a time.” Each small shift reduces emotional weight. Recognizing patterns is the first step toward retraining your brain. Awareness turns automatic reactions into mindful choices.
