2.14 – Why Avoidance Delays Acceptance: Avoiding pain feels easier in the moment, but it only keeps you stuck longer. Acceptance begins when you stop running from what hurts. Avoidance builds walls, while facing emotions builds freedom. Each time you confront discomfort, it loses a bit of its hold on you. Acceptance teaches you that pain can’t heal if it’s hidden. When you allow yourself to feel, you begin to release. Avoidance may give temporary relief, but it costs long-term peace. Facing your emotions takes courage, but it’s how true growth begins. Over time, you see that acknowledging pain doesn’t make it stronger—it makes you stronger.
