Lesson Overview

4.20 – When Regret Turns into Rumination: Rumination happens when regret loops endlessly without resolution. The same thought spins around, draining energy and joy. It feels like thinking deeply, but it’s really emotional repetition. To break free, awareness and redirection are key. Replace “Why did I?” with “What can I learn?” This shift moves the mind toward growth. Setting mental limits on reflection time helps reduce overthinking. Movement, conversation, or creativity can help release trapped energy. The goal isn’t to forget but to stop replaying pain. When reflection ends and living begins again, rumination loses its hold.
