36.39 – Building Self-Trust After Betrayal: One of the hardest parts of healing betrayal is learning to trust yourself again. You might question your judgment, instincts, or ability to see red flags. Rebuilding self-trust starts with forgiving yourself for not knowing what you didn’t know. Every choice you made came from the information and heart you had at that time. Self-trust grows when you keep small promises to yourself—like following through on goals, setting boundaries, and honoring your emotions. Listening to your intuition, even in small decisions, helps rebuild confidence. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s alignment between your values and actions. Over time, you begin to feel grounded again, knowing you can rely on your own wisdom. When you trust yourself, you stop seeking validation from those who hurt you. You become your own source of safety, guidance, and truth. Betrayal may have shaken your trust in others, but rebuilding self-trust restores your foundation from within.
