6.26 – How Movement and Exercise Reduce Anxiety: Moving your body is one of the most natural ways to calm your mind. Exercise releases chemicals in the brain that boost mood and reduce tension. Even light movement like stretching or walking can ease anxious thoughts. Physical activity helps your body use up the extra energy that anxiety creates. It also teaches your brain that you are safe when your heart beats fast, which reduces fear over time. Consistency matters more than intensity—small daily habits make a big difference. Movement can turn nervous energy into strength and focus. Dancing, yoga, or even cleaning your space can count. Exercise becomes a form of emotional release when you treat it as care, not punishment. The more you move, the more balanced and confident you’ll feel inside and out.
