4.6 – Regret After Loss: “I Wish I Had Said More”: After losing someone, regret can hit like a wave of things left undone. We wish we had called more, listened longer, or said what we truly felt. The heart aches for a chance to rewrite those final moments. This kind of regret mixes grief with longing, making both heavier. It’s a reflection of love and how deeply we valued that person. Remembering that no relationship is perfect can bring comfort. We can still honor their memory through kindness, service, or living by lessons they taught us. Writing, visiting special places, or speaking their name aloud can help transform sorrow into remembrance. Regret after loss never disappears completely, but it softens as we give it voice. With time, we learn that love remembered is stronger than words left unsaid.
