It means focusing all your attention on your breath—how it feels entering, leaving, and moving through you. You can count breaths, imagine waves, or say calming words with each inhale and exhale. When your mind drifts, gently bring it back to the next breath. Slow breathing tells your brain that danger has passed and that you are safe. It lowers your heart rate, eases muscle tension, and clears mental fog. Practiced daily, it becomes a natural reset button. Even one minute of mindful breathing can shift your mood and give you space to think clearly again.
